Courtney Mitchell has taught piano to three of my children. We have been lucky to have her and Ms. Rose in our lives for 8 years.  Courtney has the rare gift of being able to infuse high expectations and the call for excellence with the sentiment of a caring mentor.  Each one of my children have different needs and she has been able to respond to each of them in the way that suits them best.  She provides them with  lessons, techniques, tools, and encouragement that brings them to a higher level.  She has the talent to take them from playing their first middle C to a level 10 Certificate of Merit.  The growth I have seen in the skill level of all her students is phenomenal.  I genuinely enjoy attending recitals.  Ms. Courtney is a treasure.  She is a rare find that has the patience of a saint, the no-nonsense of a school master, and the love of a fairy godmother!

Courtney Mitchell is hands down the best piano teacher in Orange County. We tried several teachers and couldn’t find one that was a good fit for all of my kids and their different learning styles and interest levels. Courtney is hugely talented and adaptable—able to meet the needs of each individual child and help them be their best.

Courtney is not only an amazing piano teacher, but supporter and friend. She taught me life skills such as compassion and dliligence along with piano skills. I always looked forward to going to my lesson because of her bright light and goodness. She is so understanding of everyone and is willing to teach at your pace. She always made sure that I was reaching my goals and catered my learning so that I could accomplish what I wanted. She taught in a way that motivated me to keep wanting to practice and push myself. She is simply an amazing piano teacher!!

We have been with Ms. Courtney for 8 years and counting! Courtney Mitchell has been teaching my daughter piano for 7 years. She has instilled a deep love of music in my daughter which is the hallmark of a truly incredible teacher. Courtney's student-centered approach is evident through the time she takes to get to know each student and through the creative ways she connects with them. She hosts recitals, offers challenges and prizes to motivate the kids throughout each year and includes the study of composers so that students are well-rounded in their knowledge of music. She is so kind, patient, communicative, and easy to work with. My daughter not only loves the piano but truly loves Courtney!
